NASHVILLE, TN — The Music City job market is still tight enough that employers are coming to job seekers instead of waiting on applications. Eight in-person hiring events are on the Middle Tennessee calendar between now and early December, and they stretch from a community center in Antioch to a career center off Providence West Parkway in Mt. Juliet.

Eight verified hiring events between September 15 and December 8, spread across Davidson, Wilson and Williamson counties. Most of them want you to call ahead.

Why Fall Is a Good Window in Nashville

Federal figures back up what hiring managers here have been saying all year. The Bureau of Labor Statistics put the Nashville metro unemployment rate at 3.0 percent in July 2026, below the 3.3 percent national mark, with total nonfarm employment near 1.2 million and up about 1.6 percent over the year. The growth is not evenly spread. Leisure and hospitality led all sectors, education and health services and professional and business services both posted solid gains, and manufacturing added jobs. Construction, financial activities and government all lost ground over the same twelve months.

Mt. Juliet Goodwill Job Fair — Tuesday, September 15

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Mt. Juliet Goodwill Career Solutions, 1985 Providence West Parkway, Mt. Juliet

The first one up, and the easiest to reach if you live anywhere along the I-40 corridor east of Donelson. Goodwill Middle Tennessee runs this Providence-area career center as a monthly stop on its hiring-fair circuit, and the two-hour window is short, so treat the 10:00 AM start as the real start. Goodwill has not published an employer roster for this date. Call the center at (615) 288-2389 before you drive out.

Metro Nashville All-Agency Career Fair — Thursday, September 24

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Southeast Regional Community Center, 5260 Hickory Hollow Parkway, Suite 202, Antioch

This is the biggest event on the fall calendar and the only one with a published agency list. Metro Nashville is bringing twenty departments to the old Hickory Hollow site in Antioch, including the Police Department, the Fire Department, Metro Nashville Public Schools, the Airport Authority, Metro Water Services and Metro Parks. Metro says the fair is open to the public. Government hiring in the metro has been shrinking year over year, which makes a room with twenty agencies in it more valuable, not less. Job seekers can also apply directly through Metro Human Resources.

Mill Creek Job Fair, Brentwood — Tuesday, September 29

10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Mill Creek Career Solutions, 6708 Nolensville Pike, Brentwood

Four hours, the longest window of any event this fall, and Goodwill says more than ten employers will be in the room. The Nolensville Pike corridor south of Old Hickory Boulevard pulls from both sides of the Davidson and Williamson county line, so this one tends to draw retail, warehouse, staffing and customer-service recruiters. Recent Goodwill fairs elsewhere in Middle Tennessee have brought in employers like Kroger, Fifth Third Bank and CoreCivic along with staffing agencies. That is prior-event history, not a promise for September 29.

Goodwill Opportunity Center Job Fair — Tuesday, October 13

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Goodwill Opportunity Center, 501 Mainstream Drive, Nashville

The Opportunity Center sits in MetroCenter, just north of downtown, and it is the flagship of Goodwill's Nashville operation. Ten-plus employers again, and an early 9:00 AM start. Here is a useful piece of scheduling: the same Tuesday, the Mt. Juliet center runs a resume writing class from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and mock interviews from 2:30 to 3:30 PM. If the morning goes badly, the afternoon fix is thirty minutes east on I-40.

Mt. Juliet Goodwill Job Fair — Tuesday, October 20

October's Wilson County stop, one week after the MetroCenter fair. Wilson County has absorbed a lot of distribution and light-manufacturing growth over the last few years, and the Mt. Goodwill Opportunity Center Job Fair — Tuesday, November 10

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Goodwill Opportunity Center, 501 Mainstream Drive, Nashville

The November MetroCenter fair lands right as seasonal hiring peaks across Nashville retail, hospitality and package handling. If you want temporary work that can convert, this is the one to circle. Mt. Juliet runs resume writing and mock interviews the same afternoon, exactly as it does in October.

Mt. Juliet Goodwill Job Fair — Tuesday, November 17

The last fair before Thanksgiving, and the last realistic shot at a seasonal role that starts before the holiday rush rather than after it. Employers filling November and December shifts are usually still interviewing the week of the 17th, but not much past it.
