🔥 Who Gaylord Opryland Is Recruiting

The resort's own hiring page lists seven roles for the open house: special events attendant, Delta Riverboat attendant, food runner, busser, barista, cashier and host/hostess. Those are the people who keep the atriums, restaurants and the indoor riverboat moving once the holiday season gets busy.

That season is big. A Country Christmas runs November 6, 2026 through January 2, 2027, and this year's centerpiece is ICE! featuring Home Alone, with the film recreated in more than two million pounds of carved ice. Add ice tubing, skating, character breakfasts, gingerbread decorating and riverboat Christmas cruises, and you get a long stretch of full shifts from early November through New Year's.

The page advertises seasonal, part-time and full-time openings across the property. It does not say which open house roles are seasonal only, so ask at the table if you want something that lasts past January.

💪 Why It's Worth the Drive to Pennington Bend

Gaylord Opryland's posted benefits include health care, a Roth/401(k) with a company match and paid time off for eligible employees. The day-to-day perks matter just as much for a seasonal worker: free on-site parking, a free meal during each shift, free uniform cleaning and an on-site fitness center.

The resort is also hiring outside the open house list. Its careers page shows full- and part-time openings for cooks, pastry cooks, convention setup, front desk agents, housekeepers, stewarding and engineering, with a $500 sign-on bonus on certain engineering roles. Foundry Fieldhouse, the resort's newer sports bar, is hiring front-of-house staff too.

Gaylord has not published hourly pay for the open house roles, and we won't guess at it. Ask the recruiter directly before you accept an offer.

📋 How to Show Up Ready

  • Apply online first. Gaylord points everyone to GaylordOprylandHiring.com. At past Opryland hiring days, applying ahead was recommended for faster processing.
  • Confirm the building. The hiring page names the Star Services Center but does not print a street address for it. The resort sits at 2800 Opryland Drive. Email the recruiting team before Saturday to confirm where to park and which door to use.
  • Bring your availability in writing. Holiday weekends and evenings are when the resort needs people most.
  • Dress for a guest-facing interview. Every open house role works in front of guests.
